Lebritia Parker Sindija-Kendrick is a native of Miami, Florida. She began her dance training at the age of eight, in ballet, with Alexander Nigadoff. She later studied with Thomas Armour and Robert Pike at the Miami Conservatory.
Ms. Kendrick attended the University of Miami, where she received her BA in Communications and Marketing. She holds a BFA in dance from the University of Florida/New World School of the Arts and a Masters of Fine Arts degree in dance from Florida State University.
Trained in ballet, modern, jazz, Argentine Tango, and a certified Pilates instructor, Ms. Kendrick has danced professionally with the Miami Ballet, Ballet Etudes and Momentum Modern Dance Company. She has both performed and choreographed for the Florida Dance Festival, Florida Cultural Affairs, Miami-Dade Community College, and has danced and acted in music videos and television commercials.
Ms. Kendrick has taught dance at The University of Miami, Florida State University and Miami-Dade Community College. She has taught Pilates and dance at many studios in Florida and Georgia, and continued to pursue her teaching and choreographic interests and her love of dance as a full-time professor at Florida State College at Jacksonville from 2004 until 2010.
Ms. Kendrick now resides in Santa Barbara, California where she continues her Pilates practice.
